Built by local mums, for local families

Cardiff Mums started in 2013, when I was a mum in Cardiff simply trying to work out what was going on around me.

I was always looking for things to do with the kids, places to go, local events, groups, recommendations and all those little bits of information that make family life easier. I realised there wasn’t really one place where Cardiff mums could find all of that — or simply ask another mum who might know.

So I created Cardiff Mums.

What began as a small local Facebook community quickly became somewhere mums could ask questions, share recommendations, find things to do and help each other navigate family life in Cardiff.

Over the years, the community has grown far beyond anything I imagined when I first started it, but the heart of Cardiff Mums has stayed exactly the same: local families helping local families.

Our mission

Community before everything else

Cardiff Mums has always been about community before everything else. It’s a place to find useful local information, discover family-friendly places, support brilliant independent businesses and help parents feel more connected to what’s happening around them.

The aim is simple: make family life in Cardiff easier to navigate, more affordable where possible, and a little less overwhelming.
